Insl-x Cabinet Coat
Need project pricing, quantity assistance, or help choosing the right coating? Talk to Stein Paint about contractor, commercial, condo and property-management orders.
Cabinet Coat is a urethane-reinforced acrylic enamel that bonds directly to cabinets, trim, furniture, and doors — even over polyurethane and varnish — without a separate primer. The finish is ultra-smooth and factory-like, with the durability to resist chipping, scuffing, grease, and water.
Why choose it: Superior adhesion to difficult surfaces eliminates sanding-to-bare-wood on many refinish jobs. Non-yellowing formula stays true over time. Excellent flow and leveling reduce brush marks. MPI #140 (Satin) / #141 (Semi-Gloss) rated.
Best for: Kitchen and bathroom cabinets, furniture, trim, crown molding, doors, woodwork, metal, previously painted wood.
Key details: Interior. Satin or Semi-Gloss. Covers 350–450 sq ft/gal. Tack-free in 1 hour; recoat in 6 hours. Warm soapy water cleanup. ~45 g/L VOC.
Professional note: Full cure takes 14 days — advise customers to avoid heavy use during that window. Not for stove/oven surfaces or immersion (sinks/tubs). Tint with universal colorants only.
