About

Stein Paint was founded in 1940 by Isidor Stein in Miami, FL.

The company was originally launched with the Paragon Paint line, and later acquired Dutchboy. In 1945, Isidor moved his family down from Brooklyn to South Florida, and after his sons finished their military service during WWII, they joined the business. In 1951, Stein Paint moved from Miami Beach to Flagler Street where it currently resides.

In 1999, Arthur Stein passed away leaving the third generation “Lance Turner” to take over. For 20 years, Lance made a name for Stein as being a premiere service business in South Florida, holding the term “service” higher than all others. In 2015, the fourth generation Aaron Isidor Turner joined the company, later focusing on customer relations.

While Izzy started with Paragon Paint, today Stein Paint distributes major paint brands such as Benjamin Moore, Richards Paint, and Rustoleum, and has branched out to service the Caribbean Islands. Since 1940, Stein Paint has been Miami’s oldest paint store.
